“I assisted most of his goals at Atlanta. We know how to link up like Kevin De Bruyen and Erling Haaland and he wanted me to come to Stamford Bridge. I can’t play for Newscastle again”-Newscastle star hints that he wants Chelsea move this summer to re-join country man at Chelsea

Though he claims he is “really happy” with Newcastle United, Bruno Guimaraes admits he has “goals” to pursue “down the line.”

Guimaraes, who joined Newcastle for £40 million from Lyon in January 2022, has emerged as one of the club’s most important players and Premier League stars.

The 26-year-old, who usually plays for Brazil, helped Newcastle finish fourth and qualify for the Champions League last season.

Despite Eddie Howe’s team’s underperformance this season, which has left them in 10th position with ten games remaining, Guimaraes remains a goal for some of the world’s biggest teams.

Champions of the Premier League Manchester City are rumored to be plotting a £100 million bid for the 26-year-old, but Chelsea and Liverpool, both of whom want the player, will most likely compete.

The expected appointment of former Newcastle official Dan Ashworth as sporting director may increase Manchester United’s interest in Guimaraes, who has also been linked with the Red Devils.

Before Brazil’s friendly match against England at Wembley Stadium, Guimaraes told a press conference, “It’s always been my dream to play here.” I’ve grown up watching the Premier League and dreamed of being a part of it.

“I believe that everything in my life, both personally and professionally, has gone well since I joined Newcastle.”

“I’m thrilled to be playing in the world’s greatest league with the best players.” I plan to stay and play here for a long time, but I also want to relocate for personal reasons.

“But I’m really happy to be here in the league; this is something more down the line.”

Guimaraes is expected to be closely watched by French champs Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish powerhouse Barcelona. Guimaraes will make his Newcastle comeback against West Ham on March 30.
