Man Utd ready to pay £38.5m & high salary to finally sign player – Report

Manchester United were keen on signing Leny Yoro in the winter transfer window and Lille were asking for a mammoth fee of 70 million euros for their prized asset.

It must be remembered that the young French center back will be out of contract next year, so, in the summer, he would be available for cheap.

According to Spanish source, Nacional, even Real Madrid want to lure Yoro and would like to pay around 35 million euros to get the signing done.

However, the dilemma for the Los Blancos is that Man Utd are ready to pay a higher fee and even offer the player lucrative terms to hire him.

The Catalan media outlet claim Man Utd are willing to pay a fee of £38.5m (45 million euros) and a high salary to convince Yoro to move to Old Trafford.

United cannot compete with Real Madrid in offering the player a better sports project, so they want to offer more money to win the race.

Leny Yoro is 18 and already he is proving to be a hit in the Ligue 1. This season, so far, the youngster has started 24 games in the league and helped Lille keep no fewer than 14 clean sheets.

He has also kept three clean sheets in four Conference League starts and it will be intriguing to see how well he performs against Premier League side, Aston Villa, in the quarter finals of the competition.

Man Utd need to replace veterans Varane, Maguire and Lindelof and must sign a solid defender for the long term.

In your view, should they pay £38.5m to sign Leny Yoro?
